The Oman Data Explorer provides a comprehensive, data-driven window into the Nation's resource landscape, utilising 2023 data to establish a clear performance baseline. The headline indicator is the Circularity Metric, which tracks the proportion of materials originating from secondary sources, alongside the Material and Carbon Footprints. By visualising the movement of biomass, non-metallic minerals, metal ores, and fossil fuels through the economy, the explorer highlights the scale of resource consumption and the current rates of recycling and circular employment. Designed for transparency, this tool serves as a vital resource for monitoring Oman’s transition toward a more resource-efficient and resilient economic model.
This explorer is intended as an accessible overview of high-level indicators. For full methodological details, nuanced data interpretation, and comprehensive analysis, please download the full report. Details on the methodology, data sources, and analytical approach can also be found in the accompanying Methodology Document and Project Annex.
